Fire was always once part of the ecosystem of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Cedar has a way, once it is burned, To last hundreds of years. This piece was reclaimed along the Highway 20 Corridor leading up to Lake Tahoe. The exterior was completely charred. It was liberated from the forest, sanded, and a natural stained applied.
