As a fourth generation native of Nevada County my artwork is deeply connected to the places that have shaped my family history and artistic vision as a contemporary / impressionistic painter. Drawing inspiration from the forests, lakes and rivers in the Truckee / Tahoe region I attempt to express something true and beautiful about the world around us. Most of my paintings are done as acrylic on canvas - I love the vibrant colors and subtle textures achieved by layering this media.
