Nuzzling Horses By Renny Spencer

Renny Spencer is a watercolor artist, equestrian performer, and second-generation artist raised in California’s Southern Sierra Nevada mountains near Sequoia National Park. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and previously worked at the Toronto Zoo caring for exotic animals including chimpanzees, zebras, and water buffalo—experiences that inform her sensitive observation of wildlife and movement. Alongside her art career, she has performed internationally with productions including Cavalia, the Big Apple Circus, and trained horses for the Hollywood film “the Greatest Showman”. Spencer was recently recognized as a winning and featured artist in the international Women in Watercolor competition with entries from 56 countries. Her work can be seen on Instagram at @artbyrenny.
